I received my PhD from the Department of Speech Sciences at University College London (UCL). Before joining the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, I taught at the University of Kent, the University of Cyprus, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the Technological Educational Institute of Kalamata.

My research focuses on experimental phonetics, second-language speech learning, and Computer-Assisted Pronunciation Training (CAPT), with a particular interest in the phonetics of Greek and its dialects.

More recently, my research has expanded to investigate phonetic and acoustic characteristics of speech as potential markers for the early detection of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
